Meet the C2 Lite
A scooter sized for younger riders
The Segway Ninebot C2 Lite brings electric riding to a compact, easy-to-manage platform. Segway recommends it for children aged 6–10 years, approximately 115–145 cm tall, with a maximum rider load of 50 kg.
Choose a suitable riding area, supervise young riders and start with the slower Standard Mode while they become familiar with the controls. Your scooter includes its charger.
Riding modes
Start steady. Build confidence.
Standard Mode (D) limits speed to 12 km/h. Sport Mode (S) allows up to 16 km/h, while Power Assist Mode (E) adds motor assistance to kick-powered riding, also up to 16 km/h.
The motor is rated at 120W nominal and 130W maximum power. Select a mode that suits the rider and the conditions.
Tyres & deck
Simple, practical contact points
7-inch solid rubber tyres avoid the need to inflate tyres or replace punctured inner tubes. Check the tread and tyre condition regularly, as solid tyres still wear.
A textured footboard helps provide grip underfoot. The C2 Lite weighs approximately 7.8 kg and has a fixed, non-folding frame.
Braking
A familiar handbrake
A handlebar-mounted mechanical brake lever operates the rear drum brake. Practise smooth braking before increasing speed, and check the brake before each ride.
The compact grips and controls are designed around smaller riders. Segway specifies a maximum climbing gradient of 5% under test conditions.
Battery & range
Room for a longer play session
The 56Wh battery offers up to 14 km at 12 km/h in Standard Mode, or up to 9 km at 16 km/h in Sport Mode, in Segway’s tests. The manufacturer reports up to 70 minutes of riding time in Standard Mode.
Allow approximately 5.5 hours for a full charge. The LED display keeps battery status visible. Real-world range varies with rider weight, slopes, temperature, surface and riding style.
A splash of colour
Lighting with personality
Under-deck RGB lighting adds colour to each ride, with 256 colour combinations. The blue trim gives the C2 Lite a recognisable look in daylight too.
The decorative lighting is not a substitute for any lights or other equipment required where you ride.
Battery protection
Managed charging and power
Segway’s battery management system monitors operation with protection against short circuits, overcurrent, unsuitable temperature, overcharging, undervoltage and over-discharging.
The scooter body has an IPX4 water-resistance rating. It is not waterproof: avoid submersion and follow the manual’s guidance on wet conditions, cleaning and charging.
